Adaptron Test Run-3, 20th Nov, 2004
This is test case #11 again now with a novel E stimulus at 21. This causes a problem with the entry of the C Stimulus as shown below. I would have expected the LTM Out. at 23 to be updated to a 12 because it recognized the C (HZD is 12) and it output an a and the R-Habit is waiting for the E at 21. It didn’t change the LTM Output to 12 at 23 because it tried to start a new R-Habit at 13 because this attracted its attention, note C’s interest level=19 at location 13 and the thought interest level=18. One solution is to only attract attention to (and subsequently do) stimuli whose interest level is greater than that of the currently executing/conscious habit. Certainly for R-Habits but maybe also for S-Habits.
Another thing I have noted is that the R-S-R sequence of b B c at 6 should have been repeated at 11 as the LTM Output.
