Adaptron Test Run-3 18th Aug, 2004
Test Case #14, It gets an E from an Up at B but this is followed by pain. It reacts but next time it gets a B it repeats the Up because E has lost it’s fear / expectation of pain X because of more recent experiences. In reality we don’t loose our fear, the preceeding stimulus – E gains the expectation of pain (bad) on a permanent basis. It may be overcome due to experience in which no bad things happen, or it may only be overcome when a good thing happens?
If you look at it when the Up action is immediately punished then it does not repeat the same action again.
